My name is Agnieszka Labedzka.
And I am NOT a photographer.
I am the artist who hides
behind Alice Stone Art.
Originally made in Poland, I now live a simple life among the wuthering hills of Fife in Scotland, together with my partner and my pack of six dogs. Yep, you read that right.
So why don’t I claim to be a photographer, like so many do?
Photography is simply one of the mediums I use to create my portraits. Alongside it, I use the art of Painting, Psychology, and an almost forgotten form of art -
- the art of Listening
I do not aim to capture what someone looks like, but to reveal something of
who they are.
My work on the portrait starts with getting to know you - your story, your character, your light, and your edges.
Each session is carefully crafted with intention, patience, and attention to detail, resulting in artwork designed to become part of your story - and your family’s story, for generations, not to be lost somewhere on your phone or on a social media feed.
This style of portraiture is definitely not the right fit for everyone.
